68 corvette coupe

Hope very one had a save and fun holiday. Hope this year and decade are better than the last. I was going through my Corvette black book to find some information about 68 corvettes. I was looking for factory colors and options for that year. I also pull out other magazine and books for that year. In the black book sub notes just below the factory colors they usually give any notable special features that where different for that year. They give you number of cars not painted standard factory colors, interior color codes and abbreviations. They mentioned that one corvette was painted pink. That was all the information I could find about this car. I have a story (just fiction) on how the pink(ish) corvette was ordered.Let go back to June 1968 a sunny summer?s day his daughter was graduating from law school top five in her class. She had asked for a new Corvette for graduation, He told her that she had to make the top ten of her class or bitter. The next day they went to a friend?s car dealership to order the car she wanted. She always love the Corvettes and really like the body style of the 68 Vette. She ordered a 427, 400 hp engine with the Turbo Hydra Matic transmission with black interior and pink body color. The dealer informed her that that color was not standard factory color for that year and would extend the delivery time. She wanted a pink Vette so the dealer showed her the colors available from GM over the past years and she selected Evening Orchid Metallic. The car was schedule for delivery in late August early September. They came to pick up the car and the daughter wanted to change the exhaust to the new side pipes that where only offered as a new options for 69 Corvettes models and the stingray bagging which was not on 68 Corvettes. This concludes my creative writing for now. I have two of the current Revell 68 Corvette models and an ATM 68 coupe body from an e-bay kit that did not have all the parts as I was told where in the kit. Don?t get me started on e-Bay. The body of this kit was started and had some work to be done to get in shape. I used the interior, chassis and tires from the Revell kit and MCG PE detail set. I also use the reference from the Scale auto Jan 02 for detailing the Chassis. The Chassis of the Corvette did not change much from 63 to early 70?s. The color of the car is pink and I did not think it would be 50?s pink (I could be mistaken) I went back two years to find a color that was pinkish in color. I was in the LHS and saw a can of Model Masters Evening Orchid Metallic. This was a standard color for Chevrolet in 1965 code number PP. Here are the pictures enjoy any comments are welcome.

The engine was an L88 but was changed to a 427
