It's actually a 69 Riv kit but body wise it's exactly the same as the 68 i owned, only difference i can see is the interior has been given a face lift, with an added center console, color wise it's the same as the 1/1 apart from the flake, i used blue-green semi translucent flake and the model has "plasti-kote" pearl which is redish, but in normal light both just looked white, i spent a small fortune on the 1/1, re chromeing loads of bits inc both bumpers (fenders), new body to chassis mounts, new exhaust, new tyres and rims jeez! i wiah i had the cash now or the car, 430 inch big block went like $hit off a shovel (untill it blew 3 pistons) i remember it had a clear (see through) distributor cap with a flap so you could do the dwell angle with the engine running, she was in a sorry state of neglect when i got her and was painted black (badly),
there was no internet when i rebuilt her but i did join the UK Buick club, monthly news letter and the occaisional meet, i had to senf off to the US for workshop manual, which in fact was two manuals and both were pretty big, one covered all 68 Buick engines, transmissions and suspensions, and the other all 68 "fisher" bodys, including police specs electric's, thanks for looking
and the 1/1 (in bits)
the young guy in the drivers seat is my youngest son and is now 25 and runs his own IT company, seem like just yesterday
