Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé Aviator Edition

They’re not as rare as the Olympic Edition Phantom Drophead Coupes we featured earlier, but this special edition Phantom Coupe Aviator is no less mouth-watering than its brethren.

Built as a celebratory model to company’s co-founder Charles Stewart Rolls and the 1930s Supermarine S6B racing seaplane, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Edition comes with a unique Aviator Grey paint finish that’s contrasted by a matte bonnet, a matte window, matte grill surrounds, and plenty of airplane inspirations.

Meanwhile, the interior of this limited-run Phantom Coupe has been dressed with a lower fascia veneered in mahogany, polished stainless steel veneer ?onlays? with bullet-shaped ends, and leather floor mats. There’s also a Thommen aviation-grade clock with blood orange needle tips while a metal foil upper fascia is complemented by matte black dials on the power reserve, speedometer, and fuel gauges. Then there’s the transmission tunnel, which has been dressed in its own unique way, courtesy of anodized aluminum with exposed torx fixings and swage lines.

Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mller-tvs explained the rationale behind building the limited edition Phantom Coupe. "Our founding forefather Charles Stewart Rolls was a pioneer who pushed the boundaries of motoring and aviation to the limit," he said.

?With our exclusive Phantom Coup Aviator Collection we celebrate this great British hero, presenting a car which hints at experiments in early flight married to the best engineering, modern design and exquisitely crafted materials."

The Rolls Royce Phantom Coup Aviator Edition is scheduled to make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance before it hits the market at a limited edition number of just 35 models.
