It's been about a month since my last completed build. In that time I packed up some personal items and models, on my way from New York, to visit my wife and step girls in Nova Scotia, Canada. So it has been alittle busy getting here getting into the family thing again.
So my oldest step daughter is 15 and loves old trucks, so I found this ATM 1/25 Chevy Cameo that I had started years ago (chassis) and put down for some reason. So I start at my place in NY, have here chose a color from 3 1:1 I found online. Laid the paint down, Tamiya coral blue, went to clear it using Dupli-color acrylic clear, which I have used before, and I instantly think I picked up a can of paint instead. It actually turned spots of the paint a different shade. So I promised this to my step girl, I continue to clear and decide to do it into a junker. She loves it, mission complete!
This is my first attempt at aging a model. I'm happy with it, one thing I couldn't figure out was how to make the tires flat, I cut one and heated a razor and melted the tires on the other 3. Not the most realistic, but all I could think off.
